Microsoft Visual C++ Studio 6 Standard  error

MSDEV.exe Application Error The instruction at 0x73dd11c7 referenced memory at 0x00000004. The Memory could not be "read"

I get the above error when I select the "Open" in the upper left "File" menu and the software Crashes

This is in Microsoft Visual C++ Studio 6 Standard
