Outlook "Sending and receiving reported error "0x80004005" : The operation failed."
Hi All,
I am running OL 2003 Pro. I have hotmail account configured with my OL with other email accounts. Yesterday, I tried to send .pdf file (16.5 MB) to three recipients and since then I am getting this error "Sending and receiving reported error "0x80004005" : The operation failed". Now every time I am working with Outlook it tries to deliver that message to the recipients but never succeeds. My outlook operation is a lot slower then it use to be. It seems like something is running in the back (I think it still tries to send that .pdf file). In the past I had similar problem with sending attachments like pictures from Outlook. However, if I tried to send those same pictures from web mail I would be successful in my venture. Any idea what is the problem? Why I am not able to send attachment (like pictures, .pdf files) from Outlook? I am willing to give all the points for the right answer.

Solution: Outlook "Sending and receiving reported error "0x80004005" : The operation failed."
1. With Outlook open, click on Outbox and delete the email there.
2. Go to Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Email Accounts > Next. Highlight your account and click on Change > More Settings > Advanced tab. Increase the server timeout time.
