Page says done but it's blank

When I go to google, the page loads and says done, but it's blank. If I start my pc in safe mode, google will load.

Any ideas?

I have Windows XP, it happens in IE and Mozilla Firefox

I just had a virus and removed it using this and it seemed to work. This is the only residual problem left over.

Browse to

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\Hosts assuming you have windows installed on c:\windows

Upload the Hosts file here.

Or you can open it in Notepad-
It should have only one Entry in the end that is not commented with a # sign

#This is an example of the hosts file
127.0.0.1 localhost loopback
